If you suffer from any of the above then you may have a condition known as Sleep Apnea. Sleep Apnea is a pause or disruption in breathing while asleep. This disruption can last seconds up to several minutes. Generally our brain will detect a build up of Carbon Dioxide levels and signal us to wake up to breath in air and then we will fall back asleep. This can occur few times in one night or hundreds.
During Sleep Apnea our quality of sleep is disrupted and in most cases we do not realize it. This disruption can cause excessive fatigue as sleep is constantly interrupted and take a negative toll on our lives and our overall health.
A sleep apnea diagnosis is made based on medical and family histories, a physical exam and sleep study results. At Fast Track immediate Care we can perform tests for Sleep Apnea and if the test results are positive then we can treat you in most cases with a noninvasive procedure known as tongue ablations. In most cases insurance will cover 100%. There are many other treatments for sleep apnea so you can have a restful night sleep. We work together with our patients to develop a plan of treatment that is suitable and provides optimal quality sleep.
If you would like to be tested or find out more information please give us a call and schedule a consultation.
